Arup Public Heath Engineers are spending four days at Culligan’s European Training Centre in Bologna to gain in depth knowledge on a range of water treatment technologies. The visit helps support Arup’s graduate training programme that develops their teams to provide leading consultancy and specialist expertise across every aspect of today’s built environment.
Culligan specialise in designing and manufacturing high quality water treatment solutions for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications where water quality is mission critical. The Culligan European training centre has a 60 year track record in developing the skills and knowledge base of Culligan’s employees, external design engineers and key clients. Arup Public Health graduate Hannah Cierebiej-Jeffery, alongside Engineers Katerina Ntymenou and Caitlin Price with Senior Engineer Richard De-Luca are the latest people to take advantage of the facility.
“We are proud to be supporting Arup’s graduate training programme and have tailored a specific four day agenda that develops their theoretical knowledge of water treatment systems and systems design together with providing hands on experience of building systems, trouble shooting and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) a key element of our quality control system before our technology is allowed to leave our manufacturing facility,” said Moorthy Palanivelu, Culligan UK’s Projects Development Manager.
The four day training programme provides a detailed understanding of a number of water treatment solutions that can be used in combination to achieve the objectives of clients with specific applications from processing industries to high quality water for cooling systems. These include water softening, reverse Osmosis and Ultra-filtration through to Electrodeionization (EDI).
Richard De Luca, Senior Public Health Engineer, has worked with Culligan to tailor the programme’s content for forthcoming projects. “It’s important that we are able to support our clients with highly specialised teams with the latest knowledge and understanding of technologies from design, through to manufacture and effective application. The tailored programme at Culligan’s European Training Centre has allowed us to impart knowledge and understanding of leading water treatment solutions rapidly and effectively. We are gaining state of the art knowledge in an environment where there is access to an extensive range of industry leading technology being developed, manufactured and tested.” he revealed.
